It's Saturday night and I'm here in my room letting my mind wander. What better way to spend the weekend but to put words to my thoughts.
so what's on my mind right now?

Mc Donald's is celebrating its 30th anniversary (here in the Philippines) and they're bringing back some of their well-loved TV commercials. I really love this particular tvc, it brings a lot of memories, good and not-so-good memories.
let's watch...

I've written a letter a few months ago , I wanna post it here just to let it all out from my system. My friend Cla, read it and advised me not to publish it coz its too personal. Upon reading my letter, she understood and felt my wrath, my hurt and my pain. Now, I feel better even if I wasn't able to publish it here, it was good to know that someone can identify with me. Writing helps alleviate the pain. Maybe someday, I'll have the guts to publish it here. I'm okay but still there are moments that memories kept creeping back. I try to shrugged it off.

I love reading The Professional Heckler's blog. His posts are witty and are fun to read. There are times (while reading heckler's blog) my colleagues would catch me smirking and trying to suppress laughter to myself . They must've thought I'm a lunatic. Visit his blog and I'm sure you'll be laughing in no time. Right now, I'm waiting for Professional Heckler's game on twitter (the game is every Saturday night, 930-1100). Last week I joined his game for the first time and my entry got selected and was included in his blog. Beginner's luck. wahaha! It was so fun. His question was, what would you answer if Pnoy asked you to marry him. There are alot of hilarious replies, read here. My reply got picked last minute, check out #78, that's me. :)
update: professional heckler's game is over. and my entry this week wasn't selected. oh well, better luck next time.

I have to let this out guys, sorry. I've been keeping it to myself for the past weeks, I just have to let it out. Whoever is reading this and thinks that he/she is the subject of this post, all I can say is bato bato sa langit, ang tamaan ay pangit! wahaha! :P
To whom it may concern, I could be mean if I want to but I chose not to stoop down. I know a lot about you, and I can reveal everything I know that could ruin your life. You have a lot to lose and I don't know if you could live with that. I wonder how well you sleep at night? Peace of mind is hard to get these days. I pray that you come to your senses and change.
Wow, that feels good! I sounded like a b*tch though. Sorry, but I feel the need to let it out.

Today, TJ is 1 week old! I love naming my gadgets, it kinda makes it personal. Meet Team Apple, we are called Team Apple because Josh and Renel bought Ipad and I was tempted to buy one too, but I think I need a laptop not Ipad. Hence, I bought a macbook. The first few days, I was having difficulty with TJ. Mac's OS is different from Windows, and I've been using Windows ever since I learned how to operate a computer so I need to adjust. As of now, I'm getting the hang of it and it's not that hard, in fact, the function keys are easier, but that's just me , I guess. I'm a Mac convert now.

I read a blog entry of Paolo Coehlo end of last year. At that time, I was going through a rough patch and upon reading this, I was enlightened. 2011 is my year of unlearning things/habits. To quote what Paolo Coehlo eloquently wrote, "Remember that there was a time when you could live without that thing or that person – nothing is irreplaceable, a habit is not a need."
How many times can I break till I shatter? Over the line can't define what I'm after I always turn the car around Give me a break let me make my own pattern All that it takes is some time but I'm shattered I always turn the car around
I never imagined that it would be a prelude to a goodbye. It started so right (that's what I thought). I had a nice wake up call, we talked for about an hour or so, then he promised to call me again at night. He did and we had a great time laughing and teasing each other. I never had an inkling that my night would end differently.
He said he has found someone else! I don't know what to feel. As if someone splashed cold water onto my face making me numb. Everything became hazy.
A few months back I noticed that he was kinda cold but I shrugged it off coz I don't wanna impose or seem too clingy. I was dying to ask him but held back and let things be as I don't have 'right' to question him.
6 long years or so that's how long this almost not quite game has been going on. In fairness to him he didn't tell me to wait but I can't help but hope. somewhere somehow I was hoping everything will be set right and I'll have my happy ending.
I was wrong and I was wishing for the wrong things. Lesson learned (the hard and painful way) a relationship based on lies, pretension and deceit will never lasts. Sure, it may take 5 to 10 more years but its never bound to be forever, it will come to an end.
Arrived at Pagudpud around 0800 and proceeded to check in at Polaris. The deep blue beach water and fine white sands greeted us. after settling in our room. Bogart, Vina and I, explored the surroundings, the water was calm and inviting. I wanted to swim but decided against it.

@1300, our guide fetched us for our Tour of the North.
Kaibigan Falls
admission: free; but you're expected (not obliged) to give a donation to the tour guide cooperatives.
a local guide must accompany you to get to the falls. again, there's no fee but you can give a donation to the guide. although we have Kuya Nath as our guide, the cooperative requires separate guide for the trek. the trek took us about an hour (30 minutes going there and another 30 going back). our guide said that a couple of days back, he accompanied a group of yuppies and their trek was about 2 hour (1 hr per way) so it really depends on your group's pace. we crossed 2 streams and walk under the heat of the sun. but when we reached the falls, it was worth it! as per our guide, when its peak season, there's sort of time limit in your stay in the falls, around 30 mins, i think. but since it's off peak, we can stay as much as we want. The water was clean and cold, one can actually swim it you want, but it was only Steph, who braved the inviting water.
Patapat via duct
The Patapat Viaduct was built on slope of the mountains, it's the 4th longest bridge in the Philippines. From the bridge you have a clear view the South China Sea. You just have to find a good location to park and be alert because buses pass by this route. If you look closely the Via duct looks like a white snake winding through the mountains.
Paraiso ni Anton
Continuing through the bridge... we stopped by Paraiso ni Anton.
The water that runs through the side of the stairs claims to have miraculous healing power. And just across the street is some shops.
miraculous water
wanna buy?
Agua Grande Picnic Park
A few block across the Paraiso ni Anton was Agua Grande Picnic Park. We stopped here for a few minutes to take some photos. There's an entrance fee to the park but since we didn't make use of the park, we just gave a donation (again).
Bantay Abot/ Timmangtang Rock
'bantay' in Ilocano literally means mountains and 'abot' in Tagalog means reach; mountains reached the sea hence the name Bantay-Abot.
Bantay-Abot is a mountain with a hole , in which the hole is found right smack at the middle of it. Kuya Nath told us to climb through the hole, it was a steep and slippery climb. You have to be extra careful when climbing. Upon reaching the top, we had an awesome view of the South China Sea and the waters crashing through the mountain. If the waves are strong enough, you can get wet.
Timmangtang Rock; a bell-shaped rock, just nearby Bantay-Abot Cave.
Maira-Ira / Blue Lagoon
This is our last stop. We didn't go for a swim because the sun is about to set and we don't want to swim in the dark. Kuya Nath brought us to one of the resorts being developed near Blue Lagoon. The Kapuluan Vista, the place was nice and they offer reasonable prices during off-peak season. (maybe I'll stay there in case my family would want to visit Ilocos).
cottage infront of Kapuluan Vista
By 630pm, we we're back at the resort.
Darkness
So, it's time for dinner. Polaris' food are a bit expensive that's why venture out to the shore in search of restaurants. The walk along the shore was scary and tiring, scary because we were walking in the dark, we couldn't see anything. since all of us are hungry, and being 'kuripot', we bravely embarked the pitch black shore. Ever the girl scout, Bogart had a flashlight with her; while the rest of us use our cellphones to the light our path. We continued walking in the dark, the sand was kinda wet because of low tide, so our feet sank easily which makes it even difficult to walk. Finally, after 15-20 minutes of walking, laughing and screaming ('coz we try to scare each other).
Finally, we had our dinner at TerraRika. The food was okay, the price was just right. now, after filling our stomach and satisfying our hunger, we have another problem. How do we go back to the resort?! We don't want to go back where we walked, all that food will go to waste, we'll be hungry again when reached the resort if decide to walk on the shore again.
solb!
Sharmaine, the one in-charge at TerraRika was kind enough to help to text her trike friends. Out of 4 that she texted, only 1 responded because some are already asleep at 8pm. They sleep that early in the province. 20 minutes later, our trike arrived. The 5 of us fit in 1 trike, as we were driving i can't helped but notice there are no street lamps. The only light we see comes from the trike's headlight.
Imagine! Imagine: the trike has 'open' back so if you turn around you'll never know what you might see. scary! we asked Manong Trike if he's not scared driving in the dark. He said, he's used to driving at this condition, and the townspeople are generally nice. it's a small town, so everyone know each other. We asked him had seen ghosts while driving through these dark streets, and he just gave us a silent smile. I wonder what was going through his mind.
The 5-minute scary dark trike ride is over. Paid Kuya, 70php. not bad considering we woke him up from sleep. Home at last. Thank God for the safe ride. End of very tiring DAY 1!
i had a dream this morning about my lil brother... that he's all grown up and starting his life as a college student. and as for me, i have a son. what a dream?! i haven't been thinking about these things, and all of a sudden it popped up on my dreams. maybe i have tucked it away on my subconscious... and now it crept back to remind me...
the future and the uncertainty it brings make me scared and the same time hopeful. scared because one cannot predict what will happen.. to me? my family? 10 or 20 years from now, what will i become of? will these dreams come true? is it a prophecy or a warning perhaps? whatever it is... i choose to be hopeful... that my life will be fruitful as i dreamed it to be...that whatever happens...i'll always stare at the bright side of things...
This is a story between a father and a son, their dedication and love for each other. There are 2 things that struck me...
first, was what the dad had said...'Rick had lived his life to the fullest than most of us who are not handicapped'. its a reminder for me that i should live my life by giving my best shot in everything i do. that i should not dwell on my miseries and obstacles, i should surpass and conquer them. there many life experiences to make, i will stop making excuses and go on, keep living... living my life to the fullest!
second was, i am not alone! though i may feel abandoned at times, God is always there. He is the One pushing us to greater heights. When we think we cannot handle the pain, call unto Him, surrender it all and let Him be.
just when you think, you're about to give up....think of Team Hoyt and the challenges that they overcome, think of our Father above. have a blessed day!
i can do all things through HIM who strengthens me. - philippians 4:13
this is dedicated to my friends: Cla, Bogart, Mina and Rina! wehehe! :P
May b-day cake ka nga... Ngunit wala namang kandila! May christmas tree na malupet... Wala namang dekorasyong pansabit... Sadyang ganyan ang aking buhay... Walang kasing tamlay... Ayoko na sanang tumandang nag-iisa... Tatanggapin na lang ba... Ang malupit na tadhana..?? O kaya'y tatanggapin na lang ... Na ako'y sadyang hindi pinagpala... Tigilan na ang drama... Punasan na ang luha...
(Repeat Chorus)
in a few years time: magbababgo na soundtrack ng buhay naten! wehehe! dapat pala title nito, current soundtrack of my life!
saw this commercial last night...aww, i felt sad...nostalgic... i have many memories in McDo.
"parang ang tagal na nameng magkakilala, tpos yung mga gusto ko, gusto rin nya.... at kahit hinde rin naging kame sa huli...cia pa rin ang first love ko."
back from hiatus, haven't been blogging for quite sometime. i was kinda busy planning for my next adventure trip.
here's what i have been doing for a couple of weeks...
1st week of August
watched Simple Plan's concert
save you (simple plan's newest single) and my favorite song!
shut up!
though it wasn't a success, i still enjoyed their performance. only a few people attended the said event, maybe because it was raining pretty hard at that time (i think there was a typhoon), or there weren't enough promotion or maybe because they just had a concert here a few years back and people didn't miss them that much. whatever the reason is... i'll still love 'em and will continue to watch their concert.
2nd week of August
on an impulse -the sweet escape to Kota Kinabalu and KL, pictures and adventures coming soon!
3rd week of August
back to reality... back to work... and also back to planning my temporary freedom. wehehe!
4th week of August
26-28 August will attend a training (again!) in KL. and a side trip to HongKong! yehey! i learned that Nelly will also be having a training in HongKong on 25-29 August. i will meet him in HK on the 28th right after my training. its payback time! (devilish laugh). i was Nelly's tour guide when we were in KL, now its his turn to be my guide since HK is his 2nd home. we're also planning to meet up with some friends who's working in Macau. hopefully, everything will push through.

lifehouse live in manila
26 jul 2008
lifehouse live in manila
a concert to remember
the ticket states that the show will start on time but it actually started 845pm. at 8pm, there was a mini program hosted by radio DJ's. they had a question and answer portion, and the prices were great.
someone won autographed CD's, t-shirts and new mobile phone. also the first 11 persons who bought the tickets have a chance to meet and greet lifehouse in person. waaaaaaaaah!
lifehouse first song was make me overand the crowd went gaga. then followed by spin. there were songs that i didn't know but nevertheless the band was awesome!
some of the songs that they played that i knew were hanging by a moment, blind, whatever it takes, take me away, so far away from where you are, you and me, disarrayand broken.
i was kinda disappointed when they didn't play everything, somewhere in between andsickcycle carousel. but i went crazy when they sang first time, my favorite song! i think they sang a total of 15 or 17 songs, i lost track.
jason wade got his camera and took photos and video of the crowd. he said his going to upload it on his myspace account. how cool is that?! he also said, they had an amazing week here in philippines and he loved the people. he even said that the crowd was amazing!
overall, the whole experience was fun. another concert please! wehehe!
i still have a 'lifehouse hangover'...sing with me...
