unofficial off

after all the mental stress and emotional torture i went through last week, i declared 'Sunday', 30 november, my unofficial dayoff! my body can't take any more stress, i felt weak, i wasn't able to eat right and get enough sleep from past week. plus the fact that i travelled from QC to Pampanga 3 times last week, it was indeed tiring. and it has taken toll on my body.
earlier today, i decided to not to report to work and call in sick. i stayed at home and get my long awaited undisturbed sleep. i slept practically the whole day. ahhhh......
now, i can say, im recharged and ready for the next battle! round 2!!!

hell week

last week was unbelievable! a week of hell, as i would like to describe it... a week of betrayal, mistrust and losing respect!

lessons learned:

  • ephesians 5:11, do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
  • the end does not justify the means
  • friendships end when principles are in question
  • we do not how far the ripples of our decisions go
  • stand up for what you believe in
  • once trust is betrayed you can never regain respect
  • even if the whole world condemns you, be firm and do not be swayed by what the crowd wants you to do
  • do not sacrifice your integrity for the sake of friendship, utang na loob and pakikisama
  • all secrets are bound to be revealed in time, so if you have done something nasty be prepared for the consequences
  • leaders should exemplify good deeds
  • honor your word

ms. scribble

when i have nothing else to do... i just grab a pen or any stuff that can write and paper then scribble away! i doodle meaningless words, phrases, names whatever comes to my mind. i love lettering though i'm not good at it. i just want to scrawl, scrawl and scrawl some more. my notebooks way back in highschool and college you'll see the entire page (pages at the back of the notebook) is covered with lettering.

this is what i do
...when i'm bored
...when i'm daydreaming (i write my dreams)
...to pass time
...to unconsciously write down bits and pieces of my thoughts
...to express what i feel/think

RR Herrera

teacher: ngayon mga bata, letrang RA naman!
ay nightmare ito! bangungot in broad daylight!
teacher: RA
gaiLie: WA
teacher: RE
gaiLie: WE
teacher: RI
gailie: WI
teacher: RO
gaiLie: WO
teacher: RU
gaiLie: WU

ricci: sabihin mo Ricci (ri-chi)
gaiLie: ate Wichi
ricci: hinde sabihin mo Ricci!

fast forward! gaiLie at work!

minsan ang hirap mag explain, mag recap lalo na kung tongue twister ang first name and last name ng guest. hirap na hirap ako lalo na kapag nasa last nun letter R at tsaka ung dapat na pagpronounce dapat medyo matigas. ay, ang hirap effort ito!

gaiLie: Thank you for waiting... Mr. DominadoR RigoR AlmenoR

... Ms. NavaRRo
... Mr. Roman RomeRO
... Mr. DuvaRaju SundaR
you have 1 (one) bag tagged to Kuala LumpuR

500php difference

if you have 500 pesos, how would you spend it?!

a. shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, etc.
b. eat somewhere
OR
c. you make a difference in someone else's life

HOW?!

with just 500php, you can send a child to go to school through the help of World Vision.

WORLD VISION is a Christian organization that aims to help the less fortunate children go to school. to learn more about them, check out their website http://www.worldvision.org.ph/index.php.

What made me decide to do it?

a year ago, i saw this brochure of World Vision somewhere in our house. it made me realize that sometimes a spend 500 bucks or more on things that doesn't really matter... while if i choose to, i can use the 500 php to make a difference in a child's life. i can send them to school and i can give them a better shot at securing a bright future. don't get me wrong, it's not bad to splurge once in awhile. but if you have spare, don't forget to share. :)

last July, i decided to sponsor a cute little girl. i haven't met her though, we only communicate through letters. hopefully, we can get to meet her someday soon.
