Plans

Two years ago, my sister and I were talking about how we can save (money) and have a better future. With our aunts living in Canada, we have an opportunity to go there through Canada's Provincial Nominee Program. We took the assessment test online, and I passed, my sister didn't.

Honestly, I didn't want to go there. My mom said, its okay if don't want to go but I decided to pursue my application because I wanna pass up the chance that someone was kind enough to help me financially. I prepared the needed documents and submitted it to the embassy. I said to myself if I didn't pass the 1st step in the program then its a sign that I should stay here. It is also recommended to take a language test like IELTS before applying. I didn't do that. After 6 months of waiting the results came, I had my nomination. The next step is to submit my application to Canadian Embassy here in Philippines.

There's no turning back. I prepared another set of documents and send in my application. Little did I know that this was HIS plan for me. Things are not doing well at work. I was disheartened and unmotivated. I love my work; airport has been my life for the past 10 years but I guess all good things must come to an end. As I said, it was not my intention to apply and leave the country, but I suppose God has better plans for me. At first, I didn't understand it at all, I ask why?

Now, I know the answer, 'cause HE said...

...For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
