de-stress or distress

after a stressful flight, we decided to eat out and de-stress. most of the time, our way of coping with stress is to talk about anything. topics ranging from difficult passengers to work scheds to future and uncertainty.

this time the topic is our favorite subject; boys, love and hapiness.

g1: ever had that someone who you can be with and do nothing but still feel so happy whenever you're with that person?

g2: yeah, i had this boy once, we woud just go to McDonald's eat quarter pounder and sit for a couple of hours to chat, after he would drive me home and it feels like we had the best day of our lives.

g1: i also knew someone like that, we would just sit there and laugh till our stomach hurts. and it feels like we had a blast!

g2: its nice to have someone like that... it feels great when you're with that person.

g1: yep, i agree but where are they right now?!

g2: mine's just around the corner, i get to see him almost everyday but we can't do what we used to do because of some complications.

g1: me?! i haven't seen him for years but i know someday we'll see each other and maybe pick up where we left off.

g2: now it's getting more stressful. wahaha!

young love

in the spirit of v-day, mimi and i recalled some stupid things we did in the name of love. (this was when we were still young, foolish and naive).

1. just a mere sight of your crush(es) house, gate, door, car or anything that would remind you of your crush makes you go crazy.

2. the paper or any 'thing' that he gave to you is definitely worth keeping...

3. then there's the food... the sandwich, biscuits, snacks that he freely offer and gave you... it is called the 'love sandwich', 'love biscuits' or the love food in short... (hehe)

4. practicing how to write your new surname thinking you'll end up being his wife (wishful thinking)

ugh... young love... i wish it was that simple now!

the bored and the restless

one evening...

girl 1: bru, musta?!

girl 2: ok lang, kakasal ka na ba? hehe!

g1 : hahaha. balita syo?!

g2: wala masyado, ganun pa rin. boylets boylets lang.

g1: so, may ganun talaga?! hirap talaga mabuhay... habang tumatanda dame iniisip... dame responsibility... complicated ang buhay.

g2: oo, pramis may ganung factor, ganun nga siguro pag tumatanda, dame worries. hay, kakatamad... kakapagod.

a planned life

Before we go to sleep, my roomate and I have this little talk about work, love interests, rants, dreams, failures, plans and almost anything we can think of.

One particular night, we had this conversation about plans in life. It made me ponder, whatever happened to my plans?!

Am I still on track?

Am I lagging behind?

Generally, my plan was really quite simple. After completing my college degree, I want to work in my chosen field, (aviation, airline and tourism), after 4 years of hard work, I will marry the man of my dreams and start my own family.

Quite simple, right?!

Wrong!

Who said life is simple and uncomplicated?

I had these unexpected turns and was headed in a different direction.

TIME CHECK!

I'm now 27, my original plan was to get married when I reached 24! wow, I'm 3 years behind. Aside from that, the man of my dreams, my partner in dream-building is gone. But its okay, I have come to terms with it, I know in time I'll have someone I can share my life with.

Fortunately enough, one of my dreams came true, I got my dream job, I've been in the industry for quite sometime and still enjoying the field I have chosen.

The valuable lessons I learned:

Be realistic with the plan.
It's okay to plan ahead but expect some changes , life never runs out of surprises.
Be ready for plan B if incase plan A didn't turn out good. Never lose hope, be positive! Lastly, as Michael Scofield would say, 'just have faith'.
